Our Farm
The land where we live and grow our blueberries has always been a part of a farm. It was pasture land before 
we started planting blueberry bushes. Our farm is atop a big hill, with a beautiful view that goes on for miles and miles.
Blue Honey Farms is in Williamson County. However, if you look up the address of our farm, it is listed as Eagleville, which is part of Rutherford County. Why? Good question. Blue Honey Farms is in the Triune community, which is in Williamson County and we’re just a stone’s throw away from College Grove, which is also in Williamson County. But despite the fact that our farm is actually in Williamson County, the mailing address is listed as Eagleville. We see it as just one of those little quirks of living out in a beautiful rural area.
Local Farms, Local Food
There’s nothing fresher than food straight from a farm to your plate. When you buy from a local farmer, chances are that the food you are buying was picked the day before. We work to make sure that the blueberries from Blue Honey Farms are fresh and ripe. Quite often, we’re picking berries into the evening so when we bring them to the Franklin Farmers Market the next day, they are the best you’ll ever taste. When you buy from a Tennessee farmer, you are getting healthy, locally grown fresh food and supporting local farm families. Farming has a great impact on the local economy, the aesthetic values of communities and the environment.
Disappearing Farms
Farms across Middle Tennessee and America are losing the battle to subdivisions, shopping 
centers and urban expansion. Instead of growing crops, acres of land now grow houses.
According to the American Farmland Trust, nearly 50 acres of farmland is lost every hour. Once those farms are bulldozed and paved over, that land is gone forever. To paraphrase the great humorist and actor Will Rogers, they ain’t making any more of the stuff.
Local family farmers play important roles in their community, economy and environment and their role in delivering good food for all. When you eat the food grown by family farmers, you know what you’re getting — honest, real food grown by people who care about their land and its’ future.
